Line Blot – This test uses a printed antigen line blot that has specific immuno-reactive proteins from Borrelia burgdorferi. The patient’s antibodies are combined with the strip and any IgG or IgM antibody binding to those antigens is visualized as a banding pattern. The assay conforms to the CDC interpretive criteria for positive and negative banding patterns.
